Classic on the Ramp

This Douglas DC-3 landed at DIA and parked herself at Gate A45... it created a stir of interest as airport workers took quick breaks to come in and see this classic airplane. It is the oldest of this model still flying, and was neat to see American's current generation of aircraft park right next door.

A foundation restored this aircraft to like-new condition. I had the opportunity to see an Everett's Cargo DC-3 in Alaska. It was not in as good of shape. Flagship Detroit powered up (amazingly quieter than what I expected), and was able to hang in the prop wash as she taxied out for a flight to Wyoming.
