Print the legend
1. Up early for another trip to Edinburgh for a meeting in the gorgeous Dovecot. I've never been here before and it's lovely. There's hand knitted coffee warmers. Knitted cuffs for cups. For the love of the wee man.
2. This is the area upstairs. There are three tapesters (tappers, tapestrios) working quietly, sunlight streaming in and music playing. I want to work here.
3. On the way to the station I stop in at the Fruitmarket to see the exhibition. In the shop I remember that I've been meaning to buy the book that went with an exhibition that I loved years ago called Print the Legend. They still have it and as I browse the highend notebooks I bump into my friend Louise who works there. It's my lucky day and I get the staff discount. Literally could not be happier.
4. Print the Legend is every bit as good as I hoped I remembered it. I don't particularly like reading how much of a big twonk John Wayne was, he's no where near as good as I hoped I remembered. But it's interesting stuff.
5. I saw a steam train today, full of people chug chug chugging along beside the 12.15 from Waverly. At least I?m pretty sure I saw it, no one else seemed to notice right enough.
