Supermarkets - for nature too?
Finally caught myself up with blips. PLEASE go and look at new entries for the weekend.
Today I went into town to have a massage and get some shopping in. As I was returning to the car I spotted these beautiful rosehips on the Rosa Rugosa used in the car park. There are many different types of plant used. Last winter the Rowan trees attracted a large flock of Waxwing.
Got me thinking how useful these areas could be to wildlife. Nearly every town has a large supermarket or two.
This is a picture of our local Tesco taken from the church tower (on the same day as my first blip) Look at that roof. Wouldn't it be great if it had been a green roof?!?! Just think how much wildlife could be attracted in.
