LocalBoy & His Fotographs

Culross Abbey, Fife

All of us in the office were treated to a half day with lunch and a free bar at Citation in Glasgow. For the boy from Dunfermline, this means drinking my body weight in Diet Coke and if feeling very adventurous, a blackcurrant and lemonade with lime (very nice, if you've never tried before). Getting three trains home is more hassle than its worth and I usually have a good laugh with the guys in office without the need for a drink. When I left they were all in good spirits!

Stopped off at Culross on the way home and popped into the Abbey, the remains of a monastery founded in 1217. The stained glass window is relatively new by comparison and dates back to 1963 in memory of a former Minister at the Abbey. There is an interesting looking headstone inbedded in the wall outside the Abbey which I am sure has the signs of a skull and crossbones. Can't see what else it could be and there isn't any writing or other symbols on it. A blip for another day and maybe someone knows what it is....
