The Streets...

Now today was the dawning of a rather difficult parenting decision. We live on a fairly quiet street with a fair couple of younger children families a few of which play in the street by themselves unsupervised. We've been mulling over the last couple of days about letting Bethany out to play by herself and as she is now in primary school. We've bitten the bullet and let her go with it.

I talked to her about the rules, limits of distance, no strangers or other houses and let her on her way knowing that the usual suspects, pictured here, were actually just out the front of the house. Baby steps right enough, for me anyway.

Still watching her like a hawk but it is slightly scary having always had her to hand.
