Monkeying around...
Sorry Mum...it really wasn't meant to look like monkey porn!!
Today is my final day in Kathmandu so I decided to visit the Buddhist temple at Swayambhunath. It is a truly beautiful place, you approach the temple by climbing hundreds of steep, stone steps and the stupa watches over you as you get higher and higher. It is known as the Monkey Temple...these furry guys are pretty canny. I took a few photos but as soon as they spot you pointing your camera at them, they race over to grab your bag! Little monkeys! Anyway, these two were mucking about...a single snap captured an unexpected and rather priceless facial expression!! Oops!
And so, my final evening out here is about to begin. I won't be able to blip tomorrow as I have an early flight to New Delhi and then on to London. I started blipping over a hundred days ago with the sole intention of taking photos for Paul whilst he is overseas. I've had chance to blip lots of photos at home to practice...then a month over here so that I could show my parents what we are up to. And now, I go home to start the third chapter of my blips...as they should be, pictures for Paul. I'm going to miss him. Lots.
Happy Friday, Ladies and Gents, and a happy weekend too.
