In for a Dip!
Along the canal again for a look to see whats new. Still a few swallows zipping about and loads of pigeons and rooks dining at the farmers expense on a wheat field across the water. One solitary swan came up for a mooch but we always forget to bring a crust or two so he hissed us and paddled off.
These young chaps came down for a drink and just waded out. I'm fairly sure that cattle can swim, so why do they not try to cross over the canal or visit the field next door? Are they just quite content where they are or do they lack the inquisitive gene?
There is going to be a big canal festival at the end of September with loads of boats coming from Glasgow to the Falkirk Wheel so that might just cover the day's blip: we shall see.
Its Friday, Bank Holiday weekend; have a great one everyone.
