Elk Herd on Tomales Bay

We took a nice hike in the mist. These elk were relaxed but active when we passed them the first time. The harmonic whistling sound they make is fascinating. It's different from the trumpeting of rutting season. I don't have a very good zoom lens but the shorter one shows the beautiful surroundings on the bay at Point Reyes National Seashore.
