Happy Birthday Hubby

This morning I woke up and I'm sure I was more excited than hubby about his birthday. I treated him to a capuccino and a birthday cake complete with a couple of candles.

After cake and coffee in bed it was card and present opening time after which we got up and sorted out our stuff, jumped in the car and drove to Liverpool.

We are staying in a boutique hotel and enjoyed a fab meal at Marco Pierre White's Grill.

It was a meal for two. We started with a drink and bread basket for two followed by a real treat of Chateaubriand for two and finished with an assiette of strawberry desserts for two.

All very satisfactory followed by a walk along the docks watching the thunder and lightening across the Mersey.

A good day and a good start to this break.
