The big weekend

Well I am not going to start this blog with the story of how a 3 hr car journey from London to Manchester took over 6 hours ... Needless to say it involved 2 cars, 2 lorries and an army truck on the M6. Thankfully no one was killed.

Now back to Pride ... A awesome first night. In the photo above is the lovely Michelle Collins (ex Eastenders, now in Corrie) who I first met on the set of Eastenders about 15 years ago. She is a huge supporter of Gay rights and is a really underrated actress.

Next is Mr Manchester pride himself, our friend Vicken who is on the board of governors here at Pride and who kindly organised VIP tickets for us. Next is Michelles PR person.

Tonight started with the fabulous Angie Brown and comedienne Pam Ann. Tomorrow it's Pixie Lott, Toyah, Blue. Alexandra Burke opens Sundays performance along with many others.

Tomorrow I get to meet up with a lot of my friends from my home town which is about 40 mins away from Manchester. Happy days ;-) xx
