Eve's Droppings

Only Passing Through

It was my 31st Birthday today. I went out for a Greek lunch with Victor and Rob which was lovely. It was a good day in work but when i left i could see that a guy across the street was lying unconcious, using the wall as a pillow. Everybody just ignored his presence and i felt bit older for seeing such indifference and inhumanity. I called him an ambulance and all of a sudden lots of people started to get involved. I had dinner at home with victoria and we headed to Nice N Sleazy for the Hei Orchestra gig which was fun. We had a couple of pints in Bar Bloc and were cycling home when we stumbled a 60 year old man lying on his back in the middle of road, unable to move his legs having fallen from his bicycle. His brakes had snapped, the brakes were set up in the maddest way, the cable wrapped around the front fork and he was cycling with virtually no air in his tyres. The shit bicycle and poor maintanance might mean that this guy doesn't walk again. Heavy Duty.
This isn't exactly the best photo i've ever taken, but it does capture the strange movement that occurs when peformers are outwith their personal space on the stage and aren't taking part in the performance.
