pirate prices
Drove from South Yorkshire to Cornwall today and called in for a much needed cuppa at Jamaica Inn on Bodmin Moor. Built in 1750, it is thought that the inn takes its name from the pirates who smuggled rum into the country from Jamaica and stored it at the inn during the early 19th century. Now having had a theme park face lift, and gained bed and breakfast facilities, a pub, a museum and a tat gift shop, they have managed to maintain the original piratical pricing. Two quid for a (very tiny) cup of tea! Robbery.
