Long Furlong
I've decided not to write today's blip in French, seeing as I am no longer there nor have the mental capacity or energy to do so.
Anyways we woke up fairly early today, around 6ish, then got the car loaded and everything tidied up and headed off. The journey was more or less fairly easy, one jam to get to a toll due to a closed lane, but I was asleep for half of it anyways so it didn't' matter. However there was one small very cringy incident that did happen to me, but I don't think I should share it on here. Basically public toilets, and a perverted gentlemen. Enough said I think.
But we arrived at Calais with plenty of time, and managed to get an earlier ferry despite all the stories of a strike with the euro-tunnel. Which evidently didn't go ahead. The crossing was a bit rougher than last time, but not awful and then we got home about pm ish. It's lovely to be home.
And also I love the fact that you always have post waiting when you get back. I had a bank statement, then some awesome music that i'd ordered and then the pick of the bunch; The first physical letter from my friend Emily in Ireland. We've been friends for a while but have decided to start being like pen friends and send actual letters and things. It was so exciting and also she gave me this little bracelet thing which is really cool. I've put the letter up on my wall now so I can read it again. I just need to get started on my reply now !
Anyways I took this photo on the way home, it wasn't the most special photo, especially as being stuck in the car all day meant that I didn't take too many photos. However there was a glorious sunset as we were going over Long Furlong. Didn't get too many pictures, but there we have it ladies and gentlemen. I'm home.
