Day ten: all washed up
Today I acknowledged something that I had known for awhile: my dogs stink. Like, I walked in to my apartment and all I smelled was smelly dog. So, I acknowledged it and changed it: today became bath day.
Meet some of my favorite subjects: Eponine and Fantine. Eponine is the little dog to the right and Fantine is the sleepy dog to the left. Eponine's hair was so fluffy and fuzzy after the bath. Fantine's fur even seemed to stand up and look more fluffy. I thought that this would make a great addition to my journal.
I took over 120 photos of them. Not a one of them came out the way I wanted. They were moving, the aperture was off, the lighting was yucky, my hands were shaky, the list is too long. I messed with this for so long. I was/am frustrated. I look through all the fuzzy blurry pictures on my computer. They *should* have come out well, but for a myriad of reasons, they didn't.
I think that this one that I have uploaded is the closest to what I was hoping to see. My camera and I were out of sink. I have been struggling and fighting with myself too much. Struggling to get it "just right." These photos should have turned out well, I should have had a great time taking these pics of my favorite dogs, but I was fighting with myself too much. I want to let go of some things. I just cannot figure out how.
