Dear 50% of the world, and you three men in particular.

Why oh why would I want to spend a second date with you in a sauna?

Have you thought it through? Yes you probably have .

a) Where the heck should I take her for a date? I know, I'm a member at the gym, we can have a session in the sauna and bubble in the jacuzzi
b) Good way to see more of her,
c) I'm a member it's free....

Have you thought it through from MY point of view? No, probably not.
First let me say I think I am not alone on this one.

a) A session in a sauna will make me hot - no, not like that, well it might in the right circs, but at the moment I'm thinking sweaty - no thanks.
b) It will make my hair damp, lank, even wet, which means the grey roots and the subtle (ha!) highlighting will become apparent, and I'll have to spend 20 mins after sorting it out
c) My face will turn red
d) My mascara will run
e) My eyes will itch from the fumes in the Jacuzzi
f) I have made an effort to look my best for you See day 1 of my journal I have learnt over the years to dress to flatter(n) You want me to sit in a hot steamy room with you while scantily clad in a cosi ?
g) My wobbly bits will wobble my droopy bits will droop
h) I will have to watch your wobbly bits wobble and your dangly bits shrivel
i) I will have to sit opposite you and make polite conversation. Hello? Didn't we do that on the first date?


Trust me, if I want to strip off and get up close and personal with you, you will know, but it will be with low lighting, or possibly total darkness, and probably after a couple of glasses of something to make the experience a little more mellow.

aaaggggrrrrhhhh! Eeeeeekkkkkk and no thank you.

How about we go for a walk to a pub?
Go rowing on the lake?
Visit a museum or gallery?
Do a treasure trail of your local town
Visit the zoo
Go bird watching - feathered variety
Visit a National Trust Property.
Climb a hill
Go for a drive
Go to the coast
Go on a photo shoot
Play chicken on a railway line
Eat cake
Get pissed
Even have sex! Had you thought of that one, and if not why not? And if you had, then dismiss the idea straight away, please, unless I say otherwise.

Anything other than going to your club sauna!

Early blip today my dear friends, as I'm going out on a second date! wish me luck, I think I need it!

Post script: Just in case I gave you the wrong idea. This is NOT THREE MEN ON ONE DATE.
This is the third time guys have suggested we go for a Sauna for a second date.

Maybe it's me thats out of kilter with life! Hey Ho!
