TAUBENBORN
is a nature reserve, with forest and large fens situated between Godelheim and Höxter. There we went, Mischa initiated it this morning, because we wanted to see the dragonflies (30 different kinds habitate the aerea). They appear only in the sunshine, so the prospect was rather good for the trip.
It was a bit difficult to find the entrance but after a detour we parked the car and looked for a path along the fens. Several times we had to return because the tiny path ended in the bush. No sunshine so no dragonflies, but good weather for walking. Photos made on our way. On our way back the sun appeared from behind the clouds and hurrah! the dragonflies appeared too. I was busy to look for frogs in a pond, Mischa found a little blue one and we all saw some other kinds moving very fast above the surface. To my surprise I found a tiny dragonfly attached to a "spring balsemien" in one picture that I took.
My blip is an impression of the fen with a tree fallen in the water.
The haiku:
The smells of the wood
Reminder of the autumn
The snails and the mushrooms
And the german proverb, not really connected perhaps:
Who lives in a silver bed has golden dreams.
