Heron

Had a nice Sunday today with a drive up to Callander. Stopped into the Atrium coffee shop for a delish cinnamon cappucino and doughnut. This was followed by a trip to the all year Christmas Shop (I know I shouldn't mention the C word too early!). I absolutely love this shop as its got so many wonderful festive things and I usually treat myself to one or two. In addition, they had cinnamon scented pine cones which just sum up Christmas!

On the way back stopped at the Scottish Antiques and Arts Centre which was a treasure trove of nooks and crannies filled with stuff. I've never actually been to an antiques centre so it was pretty interesting. Everything from a Matchbox Batmobile for £150(!!!!) to jewellery, paintings, furniture, vintage clothing and military artifacts including a grenade - scary!

The heron was at a pond beside the car park at Callander; I was running about getting a ticket before grabbing the camera and snapping a shot before he flew off!
