Bedruthan Steps - again

I was here exactly a week ago and I took a wide angled view of the beach from above. I mentioned last week that there are vertigo-inducing steps onto the beach. These have been kindly made (I'm guessing by the National Trust) to allow access to an otherwise inaccessible place. The steps have been cut into the rock but the down side is that from November to February, a big metal gate is firmly shut and locked across the entrance to the steps.

Of course, this now means that I absolutely have to go down there at some point during the winter.

Last week, when I walked to the other end of the beach, I noticed a zigzag path down the cliff at the far end and so today I decided to go back to investigate whether access is possible in the winter. My sleuthing revealed that there possibly is, as long as I'm prepared for a death-slide approach on the final 20 feet or so of crumbling cliff. I have resigned myself to looking down on it from above in the winter months.

This is taken on the beach itself but I did almost post
this - my blipcrash of a family photo. If you have the time to take a look, I'd be grateful if you could let me know which you prefer. I was hoping to post something a little bit different today but I am drawn to landscape shots. Thank you.
