A seasider's view

Shifting sands

...visible out of shot. Honest.

A windy day here. We passed a recently harvested potato field with a red dust breezing over the top it, where the wind was drying and lifting the top layer.

This shot is looking across Saltcoats South Beach towards the old harbour, and there really was sand being whipped along - I just couldn't catch it, as I was struggling to keep the camera steady! I'd hoped to get some nice white horses but the tide was too far out and frankly, it was too cold to loiter. Big contrast from yesterday's beach visit.
