Spectator Sport?

Last Sunday it was sunny and warm, this Sunday it was M's first rugby game of the season so cue strong wind, rain and plummeting temperatures. Why is the Rugby and Football season in the UK timed to coincide with the rubbish weather? There are nicer things I can think of doing than standing in an exposed field facing into the wind and rain cheering the boys on. Why can't he have a nice indoor sport? (Pot, Kettle, Black? he says!)

However, they played really well and won their game by a landslide and M scored a couple of tries to boot.
