the stables

backblipping this as it's been a busy weekend staying with a friend's family on their beautiful farm in Dumfries and Galloway. it was my friend L's 30th birthday and M and I were delighted to celebrate this with her, her husband, friends and family. fizz and a great bbq were the order of the day. we didn't manage to avoid the rain but it didn't dampen spirits!

before the guests arrived we took the dogs for a walk down the road, and en route i blipped this shot of their stables just behind the house. they're gorgeous, rustic outbuildings of red sandstone. home to a lucky four hoofed fellow called Duke. i rather liked the reds and greens of both the building and the tools lying outside.
