No life behind bars

It was hard to go into the central city of Christchurch for the first time and hold back the tears - I didn't succeed. Empty lots that once held beautiful buildings, huge expanses of ruined houses, windows broken, curtains fluttering, and just an over riding eeriness - no sounds of people, cars, life. This is just one photo that tries to sum it up.
