Kerikeri High St
Made a quick visit to Kerikeri, the metropolis, to buy a few essentials between the filling, sanding, priming, sanding, filling..........
Not a very exciting subject but interesting for our friends and relatives to see our town. Kerikeri has grown a lot since our first visit in December 2003. The traffic management has changed with the introduction of a one-way sytem, there has been a 'beautification scheme' ( the Council's description ), if you like non-native palms, and the new Stone Store Bypass will be opening next month.
Despite the slightly ironic tone, we do like KK, especially the cafe culture, a good variety of shopping ( especially when compared to small towns in the UK, eg Cupar) and the ease of parking !
