Today has been a day of very mixed emotions.

Went to the stonemason's today to organise Christian's headstone. We had some ideas when we went in, and I thought we would be able to look in a book and say 'I want that one'.

But it's not as easy as that, as practically everyone is an individual design.
Anyway, we decided on what we want, came home, and a little while later, the first drawing came through via e-mail, and then quite a bit of the rest of the day was spent on tweaking sizes. We're pretty close to getting what we want, now the hardest bit, trying to decide what to write on the headstone.

Good news today, our neighbour is finally out of his coma and has been put in a general ward, but is expected to be in hospital a further 6 weeks.

Sad news, the bones found on the Sunshine Coast, have been confirmed as little Daniel Morcombe's. A day of shock for his family, who had always lived in hope that one day he would be found alive.

The weather has been beautiful today, Alexandra and I sat out in the garden with both the cats, as they rolled around in the sun, and then sat enjoying the soft breeze for a while. A moment of peace.
