A Gaggle of Freddies
Well it's Happy 21st Birthday Manchester Pride ;-)
These 4 lads do a Freddie Tribute and we met them earlier today, hilarious.
Alexandra Burke was pretty damn good on stage this evening, I'm not a huge fan, but like a few of her songs. She held the crowd pretty well and was way better live than I thought, Unlike the Sugarbabes, who appeared to Mime rather badly to their songs.
still it was great fun, and so far the weekend has been amazing. Spoke to Denise Black (Corrie, Queer as folk, Sister Act) about her upcoming tour with Sister Act and have been invited along to see her in Manchester ... Denise also has a folk/jazz group called Loose screw who played on the ladies stage here earlier and are rather good.
Met up with a few Journalist friends and have been asked to participate in a huge fundraiser for breast cancer research in October. Roger Daltrey, chesney Hawkes (is he still around)? and a whole host of celebs will be taking part ... I have always felt a little uneasy about doing stuff like this because of my illness, but this time I feel pretty ok about taking part. Ha! maybe, finally I have accepted it. Onwards and upwards ay.
enough waffle, time for bed as it is our last day tomorrow .... g'night all ;-) xx
