Apologies for a longer disappearance than usual. I feel explanations are in order, and this too is a backblip.

Tuesday, nearly two weeks ago, N was whisked up to Bristol in the early hours of the morning for a kidney transplant! He had been waiting for about three years and suddenly out of the blue it happened! Because of the nature of the new kidney it will take time to work properly but we have received the news that it is beginning to work.

Meanwhile T and I have been rushing up to north Bristol to visit N every other day, friends too have helped because it is an hour and a half each way and not the easiest of places to get to. The traffic can be diabolical.

When discharged N has to visit the clinic in Bristol three times a week but the dear old NHS lay on taxis for the first six weeks.

Photography has been completely out of my mind and will be until things settle down again. T is struggling with the harvest and has so much to do on the farm. Everything is late because of the wet weather we have been having. He is also suffering with a swollen face, on antibiotics for a tooth infection and now driving the combine harvester at the same time. So if you don't mind I will be dipping in and out of the Blip community for a while and will try and resume commenting after some fashion!
