Haworth
Today the Old Geezers went to Haworth for a walk up to Top Withins (the possible inspiration for Wuthering Heights in the Emily Bronte novel).
The day started off with some confusion ~ two of the party went to the wrong start location (and had left their mobile phones at home!) and the rest of us were 10p short of the change needed to park the cars. The required 10p was kindly donated by a passer-by and the 'lost' duo were eventually located after some relayed phone calls.
The armour plating on this Haworth car park ticket machine was obviously not enough to deter the local villains ~ with parking fees at £4 a day I guess these machines have a worthwhile payload.
A nice pint of Timothy Taylors at The Fleece rounded off a good day just before the rain set in.
