Dallas from the air...

Flew over Dallas today...

Left side is the Dallas Fort Worth airport...covering more than 29.8 square miles. Has a total of 152 gates...with 3 control towers (only airport in the world to have this many). Offering 173 destination flights with 21 domestic and 7 foreign...with approximately 164,000 passengers daily! In other words - it's a HUGE airport! Probably the one I frequent most often...so I've become pretty familiar w/ it ;)

Right side is the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium (Football) - to be completed in 2009! Upon completion - it will be the largest venue with a retractable roof - housing approximately 100,000 people. Construction costs have already surpassed $500 million. It will also house the worlds largest video displays. The two main displays will be approximately 22m high by 29m wide.
