Church flowers
Went to my church today as a break from some rather boring and brain numbing stuff for work.
As I've said in a previous blip, we have a small garden at the side of our chapel. This species gladiolus is beautiful with one of the old memorial stones behind it. Here it is in more detail.
The current building is 200 years old next year but there has been a chapel here for longer than that as this memorial shows. When I sit in chapel this is the view I often have.
There have been many updates over the 200 years, not least 7 years ago when the pews were removed, the false ceiling taken down and a tented ceiling put in.
Last year one of our members carved this beautiful candlestick. Here are some details of the candle holder.
