Dreaming of Ringo

1. I was staying with Ringo and his family as a guest at his cliff top house in Ireland.

2. It was a stunning place - not as flash as you might think - but it's all about the view. There's a massive glass wall over two storeys and a wooden balcony jutting out over a cliff looking out to nothing but the sea.

3. I was chatting to his wife (who is lovely) and she was telling me that she wasn't as happy as she might appear and I should remember that things aren't always what they seem. And sure enough, on closer look it was a bit close to other houses with noisy neighbours and a really long walk to the beach.

4. Later I was sitting talking to my dad, telling him about my stay with the Ringos. He was more excited than I would have thought. I said to him that I fancied travelling round Ireland, seeing the other side. He said 'me too, but I'll never live again. And you'll not live again either'.
