Pickin' up sticks!

Another day without power, still no showers, flushing toilets, etc.

Such an inconvenience, but thankfully no one was hurt and no major damage was done to the house. They are still saying it will be at least another week before our part of the state gets electricity restored.

Today Jack got his haircut for school, which is having a delayed opening...not until Sept. 6th now. He looks like such a big boy!!

A day of gathering supplies....ice, water, and gasoline. Only one gas station still has gas within the 3 or 4 towns in our area. I waited in line for gas for about 15 minutes before they came out and announced they just ran out! So off I went searching elsewhere.

I'll head out tomorrow down to my moms again for a shower...

Tonight we all collected the smaller sticks so that Mark could mow the lawn...much needed, it's such a mess with the tall grass and leaves everywhere! Then it's another night with candles....I think tonight will be a great time for me to start my book that Bethanne wrote!!
