Teeth!

You can just see her teeth poking through at the bottom of the pic.

Elizabeth's first 2 teeth came with very little fuss. It seems like she's being paid back in double for the second 2 teeth. She's been grouchy all this week. Best strategy for it seems to be distracting her by playing with her and cuddling her, which is lovely of course... but really hard work to keep going for 12 hours a day. Teething rings and teething gels help for a little while, but they don't give me much of a break.

Most of my baby groups are off for the summer holidays, which is a pain, because they would be perfect for distracting her for an hour or so. We've been going out for walks instead. Thankfully she seems a lot more content in the buggy. Probably because she can sit up properly in it now and watch the world go by.

I'm lucky that (so far) it isn't waking her up, or at least she isn't waking any more times than usual in the night. But I'm having to bounce her to sleep because she won't go to sleep on her own at the moment, which is also hard work.

Other news is that Elizabeth's still doing well with her food. She's currently having porridge with a fruit puree for breakfast. Some fruit concoction for lunch. Then a veggie puree followed by yet more fruit for tea. She's tried apple, banana, pear, carrot, butternut squash, parsnip, sweet potato and broccoli and cauliflower. There's been a few she's not been so keen on, but she's had a go at everything and loves most of it.

It's so cute how she eats on the floor (We don't have a high chair yet) with her arms flapping behind her.
