Well, I procrastinated over this milestone ...missed a day yesterday (to be back blipped) and then didn't get the shot I wanted today. But hey, time to move on, it's just a day. A bigger one soon when I hit 1500, maybe in a week or so if I get around to back blipping the "few weeks" of photos to have yet to process.

It's been a hell of a year, for obvious reasons if you have followed what's been going on here in Christchurch. In 4 days time we'll celebrate another anniversary, a year since the September 4 earthquake that changed our lives here, probably forever. Since then there have been around 7500 aftershocks and the last year is really just a blur. It's now hard to differentiate between the major events of Sept 4, Feb 22 and June 13.

But hopefully that's all pretty much behind us now. Looking back over the past year I was looking for a few favourites, there are lots actually and surprisingly many are better than what I might have expected given the time pressures we've had. And thank goodness for the record, I am sure in years to come it will be great to look back and reflect on this time. It's been interesting, really interesting.

And thanks to Joe and the team. They toil away, changing things for the better, to make this a more enjoyable place for us all. Super effort guys and well done to the many milestones you've achieved and delivered on this year. Blip is a very different place (technically) to when I started, but it's the same great old community.

Spring tomorrow, so looking forward to what is really a new beginning for us. And looking forward to blipping it. Ahhhh, life is good ...
