Smell of autumn

There was a distinct change in the air today that I noticed on our late afternoon walk - a definite hint of autumn has arrived. There's been colder days, but there's something really rather lovely when you notice the air move from summer to autumn.

And then of course I noticed how the leaves are changing colours and some are even beginning to fall - our garden will shortly be littered with these creeper leaves that cover one half of the house.

No need to feel silly lighting the wood burner now as well!
