A SWIFT STORY

Found this injured Swift in the back garden this morning. Because they don't have developed legs they just lie on the gound and look more injured than they realy are. Being on the ground is very alien to them, they spend 80% of their time in the air. When I picked him up to move to a safer place it dug it's talons into my hand. My heaven's what an amazing powerful grab that bird had. I ended up with a couple of nasty punctures in my palm. After that I got my gloves on I placed him high in a bushy tree..let's hope for the best.
