Day Three: Minnesota to the Badlands

Arrival in the Badlands, South Dakota. What a gorgeous area...it's so different from anything I've ever experienced on the east coast. The desert, the canyons, and the rising pinnacles of dust and dirt. It's alien, but it's just spectacular.

Okay, and in between Minnesota and the Badlands resides the Corn Palace. We got such a kick out of this place. It does draw people into the town of Mitchell, South Dakota but it just seemed that they took the place so seriously. After my friend cracked a really "corny" joke, we couldn't stop laughing for the rest of the time. I suppose corn is incredibly important in this area...felt bad for laughing. But it's a place made out of corn! CORN I tell you.
