Chioke

We decided to spend Sunday afternoon at the Woodland Park Zoo as my parents were in town for the weekend, and they both love the zoo. My Dad had never been to this one so it was a treat for him to see the wide variety of animals we have in our Seattle zoo. One thing that was new to all of us was the 'feed the giraffes' deal they had during the afternoon. We were lucky enough to get in the last group of the day, and it was an absolute blast! The giraffe we fed was named Chioke, and he is the sole male giraffe at Woodland Park Zoo. We loved feeding him the leaves and he was all too happy to oblige in posing for some pics. :-)
