Thetford

My parents arrived at about 6pm yesterday. I was actually hoping they'd get here after Elizabeth was in bed, because that last stretch before bedtime is not her best time of the day. As I expected, she cried after about 5 minutes of sitting on Grandma's lap.

And it was so boiling hot last night, I think it really affected Elizabeth's sleep. She woke up, bright as a button, at 2.30am and didn't go back to sleep until 5.30am. We went downstairs eventually, and Elizabeth stared mezmorized at the TV while I had some tea and toast. She went back to sleep until 9am thankfully.

Today has been even hotter. The car was reading up to 34 degrees. We thought Thetford would be the best place to go, as it's lovely and shaded. But we went at the wrong time, the sun was directly overhead and it was just too, too hot! We did find a nice shaded spot for lunch though, there was even a lovely breeze.
