Ursula

We learned yesterday that one of our neighbours sadly passed away at the beginning of the week.

Ursula (or Ooshie as she was known) had lived on the street for many years. She met her husband when he served in the forces during the second world war and moved from Germany to live with him here.

When my daughter was at Nursery, we regularly stopped to say hello to Ooshie as she tended to her lovely garden, and Ellen was fascinated to learn that Ooshie was from the same town in Germany as the Pied Piper!

A lovely lady, whose smile lit up her whole face, she always had time for a cheery wave and a chat. I have no doubt she will be very much missed by her family and friends.
