Home grown!
At last! A nice red tomato has finally appeared and there are also a couple more just turning colour too. I think we're going to have a good harvest in our little patio market garden! Even the butternut squash now has a flower (look) - no squash yet, which seems a bit late but I'm learning to develop patience*.
Still thinking about having a proper veg patch at the bottom of the garden next year. I've been reading up about crop rotation and planning the layout. Definitely want to grow strawberries and Brussels sprouts but not sure what else yet.
Saw our robin in the garden today which was nice, haven't seen much of him lately. The birds are not eating us out of house and home as much as usual at the moment. They are singing beautifully though so they're not far away, they must be getting some food from somewhere else.
*that''s not true, I've never had any patience so I'm unlikely to develop it now!
