The Lord Nelson

Lovely run this evening with Bruce, making the most of the precious daylight. Although yesterday was officially the end of summer today was one of the best days to be out for a while.

Finally decided to go with a shot from earlier in the day showing another hidden gem from the Lancashire industrial heartland of Hindley more here if it's of interest. This is The Lord Nelson public house selling ales to the local populous since the 1700s. Now a Grade II listed building which has preserved the original façade and proportions. Not a great shot - taken for comparison with one taken in 1911 which you can see here
