I said, after telling a reluctant Beloved to take his socks off, "you have to realise that hearing we'll be sleeping in the same bed for the next 4 nights has been the highlight of my day. Okay, I folded t-shirts for 6 hours today so there wasn't a whole lot of competition, but still!"



The only upside of the ongoing night-shifts is that I am reminded to not ever take falling asleep and waking up with the person I love for granted. Not that I ever did; a long-distance relationship and having to spend the first year of our marriage apart has taken good care of that.

One more day of work for me and then we both have the long (Labor Day) weekend off. Yay!
