You Yangs
Still sick.
Still sore.
Still haven't slept.
Long, grueling day. Lots of photos from shoots. Productive, at least.
But I'm tired. Feeling supremely shit horrible.
In my travels today for shoots, I went past the You Yangs, about 40 minutes from Melbourne. I was on a train doing 160km/h (100miles/h). I always like my photos of the You Yangs. I may always be at the same 'vantage' point, but no two photos look alike. How can a few over-glorified hills little mountains have so much character, and a different appearance every time I see them? I've been seeing them, and taking photos of them for a lot of years. It baffles me. But I love it.
And in a strange way, these mountains are somewhat relevant to my day. I'm moody and making mountains from mole hills. But, with some ups and downs, I'll soon plateau, and return to the boring old, plain planes.
"Consume more than you need,
This is the dream.
Make you pauper,
Or make you queen.
I won't die lonely.
I'll have it all prearranged,
A grave that's deep and wide enough
For me and all my mountains o' things"
