Out to Launch

At the launch event for the new history of the life of "Matilda, Queen of the Conqueror", by Tracy Borman. The event was held at the New Armouries building in the Tower of London, which has fantastic beams seen here. Tracy is the woman to the left of the picture in the black and white dress. She gave an excellent talk on Matilda, who sounds to be a fascinating character - and a lot more is known about her than I expected. I can't wait to read the book.

The Tower is full of wire statues of beasts such as lions and polar bears for an exhibition they are running now - very effective and nearly made it as today's blip!
