A portrait?

Yes, I'm having an attempt at portraiture. This is my nephew and sister in law is always at me to take pics despite repeated attempts to explain that I'm a landascape photographer (mainly). Since getting the SB-800 though I'm getting the urge to explore other avenues of photography and this is something I think I'd like to get into.

So, this is a benchmark shot, a shot by which I'll measure other portraits I try. I know next to nothing about this style of photography other than a couple of blogs I've read on the net so there's a lot of learning to be done.

Dont think I'd like to photograph toddlers for a living though, way too much work! Landscapes don't move about and insects don't try and grab the flash!
