Rope walk

Much amused at all the comments re yesterday's hardcore climbing!! I think I fooled some of you :)
The mists came down a bit today but we did yet another epic walk. We headed out to the north side involving going across the peninsula on a tiny road which had a central strip full of heather! We walked off into the bracken and heather, passed the ruins of an old copper mine and adjacent buildings; passed mine shafts, and blow holes, passed incredible rock formations; and passed the spot where writer GJ Farrrell was swept to his death. The colours of the gorse and heather was magnificent and blackberries were plenty. We returned home in the car via the Horseshoe road - a tiny windy bumpy track which teeters on the edge of the cliffs. I was driving and needed nerves of steel.
This is son number 1 strolling casually along this tiny track - to the left is a sheer drop down to the sea, to the right a very handy little rope which you can cling on to in emergency! Note his very impressive and large new lens!!

In the evening we went round to Annabel's to celebrate the end of the season for the cafe. We ate the remainders and played silly games.
