Now you see me (but soon you won't)

This little female greenfinch spotted an opportunity.

I had a bucket with some sunflower heads I'd kept for seeds. It had been away in the garden shed for the winter, but I got it out to get the seeds out.

Then I got distracted and left it on the fence pillar. When I came back there was a flurry of feathers and out she popped onto the rim of the bucket, seed in beak, in fact caught red-beaked!

So she got a few while I went to get the camera, and took a few photos - then the cat from next door also spotted an opportunity, so I had to shoo her away and move the bucket before she got caught.
