Tragedy

This wreck doesn't tell the whole story. 8 brave men from the Longhope Lifeboat were lost in whilst trying to get to the Irene on March 17th 1969 and ironically and very tragically they weren't needed. The wreck lies in Grimness Bay as a sad reminder of just how dangerous the sea can be.
