The birds and the bees

A lazy day spent mostly in bed. I went down the garden briefly to admire Andy's handy work in moving the compost heap (I hope he has a shower before we go out tonight!) and to capture this inquisitive chicken.

The bees are flying wildly today as it's a bit humid and they are keen to mark their territory after having honey taken off the hives yesterday. Unfortunately the full frames were left in the wheelbarrow outside the shed too long and the bees returned to claim what was rightfully theirs before it could be extracted. I think that makes it 1-0 to the bees.
