Unexpected Visitor...

Such a surprise this morning to look out the window and see this gorgeous creature stretched out sunning himself (herself?) on our lawn. S/He was so chilled and relaxed, even when s/he saw us grinning at him/her through the glass in wonder!

In folklore, the wisdom of foxes includes shapeshifting, cleverness, observational skills, cunning, stealth, camouflage, feminine courage, invisibility, ability to observe unseen, persistence, gentleness and swiftness.

Not sure all apply in this particular scenario, but I was really pleased that s/he felt safe enough to rest for awhile (s/he was there for about an hour I think) in our company. I know it isn't unusual to see foxes in urban places these days, but this was a first for us!
